Playing with Her Reflection

For some reason, she likes to look at herself in the mirror. Since she wasn't feeling good (she's been sick for the last couple of days), I thought I'd try this to make her smile...I think it helped!
***Yes, Ashlyn hasn't been feeling too good. Monday night, she started running a fever. By the next day, Tylenol or Motrin weren't keeping it down, so I took her to the doctor. By Wednesday, we were at the hospital drawing blood and putting a catheter in her to get a urine sample! Boy, I wanted to cry with her. She also got a shot of antibiotics. Today, we went back to the doctor to get more blood work done and another antibiotic shot. Poor thing. Turns out she has a urinary tract infection!!!! She's got to go back tomorrow (Jade's taking her--I have to work.) to get even more bloodwork done to see if it's improving with the antibiotics. I hope it is. She's so pitiful with this fever. Please pray for Ashlyn's health!

I figured I'd post a couple of pics of our new house. A lot of people haven't seen it yet...So here it is! Our first house.

Spring has Sprung...and it's not even spring yet!

Went to the Botanical Gardens again. Did a photo shoot with my friend Lynn and her daughter Katie. Man was it hot! It got up to 87 degrees! Ashlyn did really good. She behaved like an angel! I'm so lucky.

Curiosity

8 Months Old!!!

I can't believe she's already 8 months old. It's really weird seeing her as a tiny, fragile, newborn infant a few months ago. And now? She's rolling around all over the floor, getting into things she's not supposed to be getting into. She's yelling at the cat to get his attention. She always wants a taste of whatever I'm eating. So curious! Just weighed her the other day--she's 18 hefty pounds! And a little more than 27 inches long. A far cry from the mere 7lbs and 10 oz and 20 inches when she was born.

I like to call aunt Cheryl "aunt-grandma" because Ashlyn doesn't have a maternal grandmother. Aunt Cheryl's been around and naturally took to that role in Ashlyn's life. She's really special to us and the rest of the family is too!
